This is a house in my neighbourhood in Ipoh. It was up for sale for a few months and was finally bought by a Chinese family in November last year.
I did a post about this house when it was first put up for sale. Initially, the previous owners had moved to their new house and had rented the place out. I mentioned that the contractor who had come to check on the roof had fallen to his death here and the previous tenants had given their accounts of ghost sightings when they were occupying the place. That was why they had moved out.
Anyway, I have a feeling that the new owners have heard about the hauntings but were still willing to fork out RM350,000 for the house. My mum said that workers have started to break down the walls of house. I am quite sure that the roof would also be removed as the Taoists believe that removing the roof of a haunted house would be one way to exorcise the place of ghosts. I was also told that after removing the roof, the structure that is left has to be left for at least a week to let the positive energy of the sun rays rid the place of the Yin Qi that had gathered there.
