TYING A DHOTI

Deepavali falls on 17 October this year. During such religious festivals, the Hindu ladies will wear saris and the men will wear kurtas and dhotis. Wearing the kurta is easy as it is just like wearing a t-shirt but tying the dhoti needs some practice.
Sharveen lent his younger brother's kurta and dhoti for my bear to wear. He also demonstrated how to wear the dhoti by using the bear.
Here is how:
1. First you need a long piece of unstitched cloth.
2. Measure to see how much cloth is needed on either side.
3. After dividing the cloth into half, tie a know near the navel.
4. Then you have to make a few folds on the right side of the waits.
5. Tuck the folds at the waist.
6. Then repeat steps 4 and 5 on the left side.
7. Lastly, take the folded cloth from between the legs and tuck it from behind.
8. The dhoti has been tied.
