PEPINO MELON (Solanum muricatum)

I have seen this fruit sold in Cameron Highlands but did not know its name until now. I actually found the name while I was searching for something else. This fruit is actually a native of South America. The edible fruit is sweet. The pepino melon is also known as melon pear and pepino dulce.
