TYING RED RIBBONS ON FRUIT TREE

I bought this mini apple tree for my mum about 5 year ago. At that time she had just recovered from a serious bout of illness and both of us were just beginning to find out how effective feng shui could be in promoting good health and harmony in the family.
From a small plant it has grown into a tree and has borne fruit a couple of times. Actually the tree hadn't been able to bear fruits for a couple of years already but since last month my mum and I have noticed that it has started bearing fruits again. So we started to tie red ribbons on the branches to make sure that we will get lots of apples this time. Tying the branch with the red thread or string would sort of be able to help the fruit to grow big instead of dropping off. The Chinese also believe that tying a red ribbon or thread on an auspicious object would help to magnify and multiply the good Qi.
