I really must salute the Japanese when it comes to cute or Kawaii inventions. After all they gave us Doraemon and Kitty Cat. Now can you imagine getting a heart shaped water melon as a Valentine's Day gift? Unique, right? It doesn't come cheap. One is sold at US$160 or more.
The heart shaped fruit is the invention of a Japanese couple. The farmer, Hiroichi Kimura, and his wife said they had tried for three years to create the perfectly heart-shaped fruit. The fruit of their labour they say symbolizes their passion for farming and their affection for each other.
