A Zai Zai fan I have been for years and I have always enjoyed watching him act in dramas. I have to say that his latest offering, the cop drama "Black and White" is by far the most stylish and polished series that he has acted in (or any such Asian drama in this category that I have watched thus far). I am sure that those who watched this series would agree with me that its maker has set a very high standard for future action dramas in Asia. It looks and feels like a primetime American cop drama fleshed out by Asian actors.

This is not your typical idol movie with a good looking cast who go mushy, mushy and lovey dovey with declarations of undying love and vows of chastity. The protagonists are flawed individuals who have their strengths and weaknesses. You have Vic's character admitting his interest for Chen Lin but then he turns around and flirts with the other ladies as well. Then there is this Ying Xiong who loves the girl as well but we see him in a hot love scene making out with the femme fatale played by Sonia Sui. This particular scene is HOOOOOTTTT!!!!

Of course, the cast is ultra telegenic. Even the baddies have hot bods and good looks but I think that adds to the viewing pleasure. If I want to watch any Ah Lian or Ah Beng in action, I can do so at the wet market or on the streets. This is the make-believe world and good looking men and women populate it.

Believe me, this is one Chinese cop drama that you should watch. The action is great, the acting is good (Mark Zhao rocks as Ying Xiong), the plot is intriguing and interesting and Zai Zai does a good job as the ruffian.
