This is not a feng shui protector that I am writing about. It is a practical thingy that is sold by the cane furniture peddlers who were displaying their wares at the Kampung Simee market. I saw a few ladies looking at the rods with different coloured strings tied at the top. There are three lengths. One of the ladies told me that she was buying the longest one as she could use it as a walking stick when she goes on her morning walks and it also comes in handy to scare of the dogs. She told me to get the shorter one to keep in my car to protect from me from people with ill intentions. The aunty later bought 4 rods. Another lady bought 6. She said that she would keep one in her home, another in her car and the rest she would give to her daughters.
I only bought one (the shortest) to keep in the car. It cost me RM5. The medium length one was RM6 and the longest was sold for RM8.
