I have for a long time been trying to find out the name of this particular plant that my mum likes to buy from Cameron Highlands. She tells me that if we have a cut then all we need to do is get a small patch of the fur from it to apply on the cut to stop the bleeding. For your information, it works.
There are qutie a number of local names for it, for example, pakis hanuman, pakis monyet, Pakis Sun Go Kong, Ayam Emas or Golden Chicken. I guess all the names refer to the golden furry patch of the plant.
