FLAME OF THE FOREST

The flaming red flowers of the aptly named flame of the forest tree in a field near my house in Ipoh were so beautiful that I just had to snap some photographs of them. It is usually planted as an ornamental tree. The tree in the first picture was taken from Wikipedia as the tree near my house only had flowers on a few of its branches. The one shown above is really and truly magnificent.
