I saw these lovely statues of Chinese Deities when I went to the Kampung Koh market last Sunday. They were apparently for sale. Maybe people had already commissioned the idols from somewhere else and they were waiting to be transported to a temple.Anyway I think that the sculptures are lovely. Being a Taoist I find that I got a wonderful sense of being protected and looked after just by looking at the statues.
