This morning my family and I went to visit the columbarium of my late father, aunt, uncle and grandparents. With the exception of my dad, the remains of the rest were interned at the columbarium in Sam Poh Tong. We went there first as according to heirarchy my maternal grandparents and aunt are older. After we had paid our respects there we proceeded to the Paradise Memorial Park where my dad's ashes are kept.
Early in the morning I went to the market to buy mangoes to be offered to my dad as this fruit was his favourite when he was alive. The Taoist would usually offer the favourite food of their dearly departed during Ching Ming time.
There were a few types of mangoes sold and I bought two types, the Chokanan and Water Lily mangoes.
