PUT YOUR CAR KEYS BESIDE YOUR BED AT NIGHT

I've been getting a lot of news about thefts, robberies and burglaries lately. Three of Kamariah's neighbours' houses were burgled a couple of weeks ago. My friend Pek Soong's bag was snatched while she got out from her car to open her house gate. The same thing happened to a teacher friend of Haji Hasnin. Yesterday morning while my mum and aunt were waiting near my car for me, two suspicious looking young men were checking both of them out to see if they were worth robbing. Thank God there were quite a number of people there and they decided to give the two of them a pass.
One advice that I got to protect oneself is to put the car keys beside your bed at night. If you hear a noise outside your home or someone trying to get in your house, just press the panic button (the alarm button) for your car.. The alarm will be set off, and the horn will continue to sound until either you turn it off or the car battery dies.
Your car keys is a security alarm system that will go off from most everywhere inside your house and will keep honking until your battery runs down or until you reset it with the button on the key fob chain. It works if you park in your driveway or garage.
If your car alarm goes off when someone is trying to break into your house, odds are the burglar or rapist won't stick around. The sound would wake up the entire neighbourhood and would msot probably scare the would-be burglar or rapist away.
The car keys will also come in handy when you are walking to your car in a parking lot. The alarm can work the same way there.
