FAVOURITE FOOD OF THE DEAD

When the Taoists go and offer prayers to their dead ancestors during the Ching Ming period, they would bring along offerings of food. Usually the food offered was the favourite of the deceased.
After the prayer ceremony, the food can be eaten. However, they should wait for at least 15 minutes after the food is served to the ancestors. Sometimes, the oracle sticks are thrown to determine if the ancestors had finished the meal.
