TOXINS = NEGATIVE QI

"Mirror, mirror on the wall. Who is the fairest one of all?" Well, I know it is not me but it sure feels nice to stand in front of a mirror and utter those famous words. As far as I am concerned, no one on this earth can lay claim to be the fairest one of all. Why? Because beauty is very subjective. Some people might consider girls with large eyes and olive coloured skin to be extremely beautiful while others differ. The same also applies for the members of the male species. To me Lee Jun Ki is very good looking with his small eyes that slant upwards and again there are others who don't agree with me. Anyway, what is really important is that we ourselves feel good about who we are. To feel good, we definitely need to be healthy and one way is by getting rid of the toxins that have accumulated in our bodies.
We can consider toxins to be negative Qi. Can you imagine what they would do if they are able to reside in our bodies. Slowly and surely, the bad Qi in the form of toxins would start taking control of our physical self and slowly we become tired, stressed out and sickly. Our skin would look dull and we might have an acne attack and we might lose our appetites. Our tempers could be easily frayed or we become moody. We wouldn't want that, would we?
If the air in our house is stagnant, we open the doors and window to let out the stale air and then let the fresh air in. What about our bodies? What can we do to get rid of the toxins? Aiyah! I am sure you know what to do since many articles have been written about detoxification.
Here is information about detoxification:
What is detoxification?

Detoxification means cleaning the blood. It does this mainly by removing impurities from the blood in the liver, where toxins are processed for elimination. The body also eliminates toxins through the kidneys, intestines, lungs, lymph and skin. However, when this system is compromised, impurities aren't properly filtered and every cell in the body is adversely affected.
A detox program can help the body's natural cleaning process by:
1) Resting the organs through fasting;
2) Stimulating the liver to drive toxins from the body;
3) Promoting elimination through the intestines, kidneys and skin;
4) Improving circulation of the blood; and
5) Refueling the body with healthy nutrients.
How Do You Know if You Need to Detoxify?
From what I read in articles and also from the Internet, everyone should detox at least once a year. A short detoxifying program is generally safe; in fact, scientific studies show that it is beneficial for health.
