The members of the Ipoh Kiwanis Club
Today I went with my family to the Kiwanis Carnival which is being held at Kinta City in Ipoh. The carnival will be held from the4 17th until 22nd March, 2009. It is held in aid of the Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation.
I found out about the event from my sister, Li Mei. The kindergarten that she teaches in is involved in the carnival and she sold some coupons to my mum, aunt and I. Well, it is for a good cause and of course, we would support it. Unlike, Wu Chun and his young staff, we are not up to donating blood and so we will just do our little bit.
Children from two Kindergartens and some welfare homes were invited to the carnival for the fun and the festivities. There were a lot of sponsors for the carnival which shows that there are many generous and kind-hearted people around.
By the way, each coupon will entitle one to either a free Body Art 'Tattoo' or a hair cut. The haircutting event will be on the last day. We will be buying more coupons to support the event and this Sunday, James and Aunt May will have their hair trimmed.
