LITTLE MASSEUR

It is holiday time and my Aunt May would come back to Ipoh with her grandchildren, James and Jamie. Of course, I'd go over with my mum and Aunt Linda to play with them.
Unfortunately, it hasn't been too fun for everyone as my mum was very sick for two days. She kept complaining that she had trouble breathing, could not eat, became nauseous and ached all over. Aunt May's Indonesian maid, Agustina helped to massage my mum to help make her feel better. When James saw that his Por Ma (God Grandma in Hokkien) was sick, he too wanted to give her a massage.
All of us managed to sleep only a couple of hours last night as my mum kept saying that she couldn't breathe. We waited until morning to send her to consult Dr Wong to see what was wrong with her. As usual, after the visit to her specialist, she was feeling much better and got her appetite back as well.
I suspect that it was the vegetarian food that we had when we went to the temple. They could have cooked the curry the night before and somehow it became bad. I too threw up after eating the food. Many of us Malaysians believe that food that is cooked with coconut milk overnight has a tendency to go bad faster. Also, certain food would bring about a lot of gas or wind in a person. My mother who suffers from gastric would be badly affected and the 'wind' must have played havoc with her body system.
