IN WITH THE NEW, OUT WITH THE OLD

I reached Sitiawan at around 12.15 p.m. today as I needed to be help put on a multimedia presentation for the registration of the Form 5 students of my school this afternoon.
Before I went to school, I went back to my house in Sitiawan to change into the school Batik and also to put some of my things there. I was talking with my colleague Puan Siti Kamariah on the cellphone when I was opening the door to my house. What a surprise I got! My house was burgled. My personal computer, printer, cdplayer, VCD and DVD were stolen. Puan Siti who was in the school with Cikgu Ishak Salasa at that time asked him to come and give me assistance and he did. I waited for him to come and together with my two neighbours, we realised that the burglar(s) came in from the back door.
You might say that with all the Feng Shui stuff that I have put up, this might not happen, right? Well, Feng Shui cannot really override my personal luck. You see, at the beginning of the year, I went to consult a famous tarot card reader in Ipoh and she told me that the year of the Rat would be a very trying one for me with threats of lots of challenges, mishaps, injuries, illness, lost of cash and accidents.
On the first day of 2009, I went and consulted her again and she told me that there was still about a month more to go and told me to be on the lookout for all the above and to be extra careful on the road as the tarot cards revealed that something bad might happen to me within this period. That was why I went to pray at the Siamese temple in Tambun Road after visiting her. Unfortunately, I still have to suffer loss of cash. Hopefully, the person(s) who stole my stuff had also taken the bad luck with him/them. Thankfully, I was not around when it happened and I am safe. The things that are lost are only material things and I can buy them again. Besides, most of the electronic items are at least 5 years old. The computer and the CD player were bought in the year 2001. So I have to think positive. With the new year, I get to buy new things.
