NEW YEAR RESOLUTIONS

In another minute, we welcome a new year. 2008 has been a very trying one for the world and as it makes it exit, let us all pray and hope that 2009 will be the dawn of a better year for everyone.

I made 5 resolutions for 2008 and managed to accomplish three and a half. Yup! Let me give you a recap.

My resolutions were:
  1. To buy a Toyota Vios (DONE)

  2. To watch Fahrenheit perform live (DONE)

  3. To travel out of the country (DONE)

  4. To live healthily by eating a balanced diet, exercising and having enough sleep (HALF ACCOMPLISHED - I still eat way too much fried stuff, cholesterol rich food and do not exercise enough).

  5. To register for the doctoral programme. (NOT ACCOMPLISHED)

Anyway, I am quite happy with myself and feel that I haven't done too badly. And so, for 2009 I have come up with 6 resolutions.

TADA. Here is the list in order of importance.

  1. To live healthily by eating a balanced diet, exercising and having enough sleep.
  2. To realise my literary dreams.
  3. To do something extraordinary that is good and beneficial.

  4. To travel to at least one Asian country.

  5. To improve my written and spoken Mandarin.

  6. To register for the doctoral programme.

You too should come up with a list and then see how much you have accomplished at the end of the year. Good luck and Happy New Year!
