I am sure that like me many of you would be reading and hearing a lot about the economic downturn that the world is experiencing currently. And the word recession has being repeatedly mentioned so many times that it has sort of driven many people to think of ways to tide through the hard times. So it would indeed be to ones advantage if the wealth position of the house can be located and the fortune that it promises can be tapped.

Actually there is more than one wealth location in any particular building and it is dependent on which feng shui method that we use to identify it. Usually, it is the one that we feel most comfortable with or one recommended by a Feng Shui master. Below are some of the methods:

THE ANGLE OPPOSITE THE MAIN DOOR
I did a post on this particular wealth position sometime back and am repeating the directions on how to locate it. To me this position is much easier and less confusing than the first method. One only needs to open the front door at an angle of 45 degrees and the slanting angle opposite the main door is the wealth position.

ONES PERSONAL KUA
Altogether there are 9 Kua numbers and each Kua number will have 4 auspicious and four inauspicious directions. The four auspicious directions are Sheng-Qi, Tian-Yi, Yan-Nian and Fu-Wei. Each of these directions can be taken as a wealth or fortune location depending on factors like line of work, position and age. Those in the medical field are advised to regard the Tian-Yi (Medical location) in their house as it is best suited to their profession.

LIFE ASPIRATIONS
According to this method, the South-east of the house is the position for wealth.

FLYING STARS 飞星
According to Feng Shui beliefs, the nine purple flying stars will fly into different parts of the house annually. The positions of these stars change with each year and this means that no sector in the house can be forever good or forever bad. The number 8 white star is said to be the wealth bearing star and whichever sector it resides in each year will be the luckiest sector. In 2008, the wealth position is in the East. Next year, the luckiest sector is south-east.

WHAT TO DO AFTER LOCATING THE WEALTH POSITION
Besides spending more time in such auspicious positions, one must also make sure that the place is free from clutter, bright and kept clean and tidy. A pot of plant in this location might be good but make sure that the plant is healthy and leafy. No thorny plants, please.
