YES! I got to visit the Fountain of Wealth (财富之泉) at Suntec City in Singapore during my short stay there. For your information, it is listed as the largest fountain in the world by the Guiness Book of Records. I was told that visitors (both local and foreign) come for an invigorating experience in the fountain since the fountain as well as the whole of Suntec City was constructed according to feng shui principles. There are five office blocks surrounding the fountain and each of these buildings represent the fingers of a left hand and the Fountain of Wealth symbolises the ring in the palm of the hand which guarantees that wealth would be contained or retained. Some renowned Singaporean feng shui masters say that proximity to the Fountain of Wealth gives one positive Qi and good luck.
When I went there, the water was flowing downwards from the rings above onto the small fountain below. I was told that at 2.00 p.m. the main fountain is turned off and visitors are invited to walk around the small fountain for good luck. A list of the must do things to get the good things from the fountain were that one needs to stretch out the right hand and touch the water, next make a silent wish, then walk in a clockwise direction round the small fountain. It seems that there is a laser show at night as well.
I also found out that one can also walk around the big fountain to get the maximum Qi level at the time when Qi is at its strongest. If possible, visitors are encouraged to walk clockwise the Fountain of Wealth from as early as four o'clock in the morning and this period should last for about two hours. This will allow them to absorb the good Qi. Doing so for 9 consecutive days would bring the best results.
Yeh! Yeh! I got to go round the small little fountain and absorbed all the good Qi. It is said that those who have to this fountain will go back again to enjoy the wonderful atmosphere which is filled with vigour, vitality and prosperity since the waters at the Fountain of Wealth harbours positive energy which is released when the water vibrates. Hopefully I gained an abundance of positive energy, success and wealth during my visit. Then I'll surely go again to replenish the Qi energy.
Since there is a fountain of wealth in this world, I am wondering if there is a fountain of youth also. If yes, then I'll sure go. Heh! Heh!
Here is some feng shui bits about the Fountain of Wealth.
  • The inward flowing water of the fountain was used for two reasons. Water is known as the symbol of life and wealth in Chinese culture, and the inward motion of the water symbolises the retention of wealth for Suntec City.According to feng shui experts (Chinese geomancers), the water flowing inwards represents riches pouring in, thus the name Fountain of Wealth.
  • It is claimed that visitors to Suntec City, who walk around the central base of the Fountain three times and touching the water at all times, would gain some good luck of their own.
