T-JUNCTION, Y-JUNCTION

In Malaysia, not only the Chinese know about T-junctions, but every Muthu, Letchumi, Ali, Minah, Ranjit and Rani would be aware of it since they have been educated by the media and also their Feng Shui believing friends. They therefore know that it is best to avoid staying in houses facing a T-junction, Y-junction and dead end road as the onrushing Qi from the oncoming traffic will affect the luck and health of the occupants.

Just in case, you are not Malaysian or have no idea what I am talking about, let me fill you in on what T-junctions are to the Chinese. In Feng Shui theory, Qi should flow slowly. If the Qi is allowed to accelerate in a straight line, then the resultant fast flowing Qi becomes destructive and anyone standing in its way will suffer the consequences. One example of just how fast Qi can accelerate and then brought to a halt by a house located at the intersection would be the T-junction. Who would suffer? Why, of course, the occupants. They are the ones who will bear the brunt of the destructive Qi.

The same applies to a Y-junction (see diagram above) which is quite similar to the T-junction and suffers from the same problem.

If the T-junction or Y-junction were to be in a quiet neighbourhood or housing estate, the killing effect of the Qi would not be as destructive but then again it would not be good either.

For those people who are already living in houses located at such junctions, they can relocate their main doors and gates so as not to directly face the junctions.
