OFFENDING AND GETTING ALONG WITH TAI SUI

The Taoists believe that each year there will be some animal signs that will offend Tai Sui (太歲)or the Grand Duke Jupiter. Generally offending Tai Sui (犯太歲) can be classified as either 'sitting in the Tai sui position" (值太歲) and "going against" (沖太歲) Tai Sui. A person who is born in the year as that of the animal zodiac is said to be sitting in the Tai Sui position. While going against with Tai Sui would mean those who are born in the years of the animal zodiacs which clash with the Tai Sui position. Generally, those who are sitting in the Tai Sui position would not have it as bad as those who are going against it. They will be unlucky and might be susceptible to gossips, troublemakers and have legal problems. On the other hand, those who clash with Tai Sui would have very bad and unstable luck. Bloodshed, injuries, accidents, loss of wealth and obstructions in career are some of the dangers that they might face throughout the year.
