Eyelid surgeryThere are quite a number of Chinese who were not born with double eyelids and some have opted to go for double eyelid surgery to enhance their looks for aesthetic reasons. Among the notable Hong Kong celebrities who were reported to have gone for this type of surgery are Jackie Chan, Sammi Cheng, Stephen Chow and the list goes on ... However, there are two Hong Kong actors who did so to improve their luck after consulting metaphysicists.
LEO KU
While the rest of the pack are not admitting that they have gone and altered their looks for vanity sake, Leo Ku made no bones about the fact that he had double eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) to make his eyes appear sharper. It appeared that he went to seek the advice of a metaphysicist in 2000, and was told that he could increase his luck in the entertainment industry by changing he size of his eyes. According to the sifu, bigger eyes can create greater affinity with the audience. And that was why he went ahead with the eyelid surgery. One thing is for sure, Leo's career is definitely on a high nowadays but then again he is a very talented singer, with our without double eyelid.

He gained popularity in the 1980's in Hong Kong but fell out of favour with the public because of a comment he made about the 4 Heavenly Kings of popdom (Andy Lau, Jackie Cheung, Leon Lai and Aaron Kwok). He subsequently returned to Taiwan after that. His had the eye surgery done not that long ago and was said to have done so because he wanted to give his career luck a boost. Like Leo Ku, Dave Wong has publicly admitted on a television programme that he had double eyelid surgery.
