The Chinese believe that should they have unwanted 'guests' from the spirit world residing in their houses, then the thing to use is beans. You need to get five different colours of beans - green, red, black, yellow and kidney beans.
What to do with the beans
Take a handful of the beans and spill them outside the house. Make sure the beans are thrown outwards (that is from the house facing out). And oh, do be careful after the beans land on the ground. If not, instead of the ghosts doing harm to you, the beans might land you hospital.
