FENG SHUI AND BEDS

In the study of Feng Shui, our beds are said to have great influence on our wellbeing. Here are some tips on getting the maximum benefit from the beds we sleep on:
  1. Remember to place your bed in an auspicious position (dependant on whether you use the position from your Kua number, the annual flying stars or 8 mansions method). Getting a good night's sleep from all the positive energy would ensure that ones temper is in check and illnesses are kept at bay.
  2. Don't store or place your old stuff under the bed as this might affect the flow of qi in the room and also disrupts the circulation of air in the bedroom. Remember to keep the bed neat and tidy.
  3. Make sure that there are no beams above the bed especially where one rests the head when lying on the bed. This might represent being crushed by the beams plus one might easily get headaches.
  4. Do not place your bed facing directly opposite the door of your bedroom.
  5. The bedroom door must not directly face the toilet or kitchen door.
  6. Make sure that the bed has a strong headboard and that the bed is placed against a wall. This is to ensure that one gets strong support.
  7. To enjoy general good luck, sleep with your head pointed towards your personal Sheng Chi direction (based on your Kua Number).
