PLANTS FOR PROTECTION

In Malaysia there are some people who believe that spirits like to dwell near a banana plant and therefore they prefer not to grow it in their gardens. I thought that since the banana is such an auspicious fruit, then it might be a popular plant for feng shui enthusiast but I guess that is not the case.
Here are some plants which are considered beneficial:

The Aloe Vera
Having such a plant around the house gives protection to the home, especially from intruders. It is also purported to help prevent accidents in the kitchen.

Cactus
Some people place the cactus in the compound of their houses and also at the windows to protect the house from being burgled. Also I read that as far as Feng Shui is concerned, keeping a pot of cactus in the bedroom helps to cool ones ardour or sexual urge.

Orchid
The orchid plant is supposed to induce chastity and also makes one harbour thoughts of love.

Palms
Feeling down. Very easy. Try planting palms as they are known to emanate upliting vibrations.

The Rose
Putting roses in the house or planting a rose plant in the compound helps attract love to it. One caveat is that a romance might go awry because of the rose thorns. So do we or do we not?
