KUMQUAT

The kumquat is an auspicious fruit for the Chinese as kum means 'gold' and 'kat' means auspice. The plate of the golden fruit I am holding up are from the kumquat plant my mum bought for the chinese new year. After the festival, the 'kats' kept falling off and my mum collected them to be placed as offering on the altar.
