It has been reported that famous Hong Kong celebrity, Lydia Sum, passed away this morning. She had been suffering from quite a number of ailments and the Hong Kong press have been covering her situation since it was announced that she was ailing. She leaves behind a daugher, Joyce Cheng.
Lydia or Fei Fei as she was fondly referred had the ability to entertain and make people laugh. It was not surprising that many in the entertainment circle called the the "fruit of happiness" as she her happy laughter would cheer up many of the variety shows and events that she helped to host. It was indeed heart-wrenching to look at pictures of her so thin and frail and to learn of her sufferings. May she rest in peace. Thank you Lydia for giving the world so much happiness.
