IN HONOUR OF THE JADE EMPEROR








When I went to the market this morning there were a soldot of foodstuff  and prayer items sold especially as offerings to celebrate the birthday of the Jade Emperor which falls on the 9th day of the 1st lunar month.
The prayer ceremony will start on the eighth day, which happens to be tonight, and will carry on until the wee  hours of the ninth day.
