HANGING RED SHIRTS TO KEEP GHOST AT BAY

I read this interesting paranormal story about the mysterious death of 10 men linked to a ghost.  What is even more incredible is that a medium has advised residents to hang a red shirt outside their houses to keep the ghost at bay.
If you want to know more, then read the whole article below.

Ghost causes men to drop dead while walking

Villagers from a northeastern Thailand district are living in fear, following the sudden death of 10 healthy men, since December.

People in the village told Bangkok Post that the men mysteriously died. Some died in their sleep while others just dropped dead while walking. Doctors said they died from respiratory failure.

A medium hired by the villagers in tambon Tha Sawang said the "widow ghost", orpee mae mai, also known locally as the lai thai (sudden unexpected death syndrome) spirit, had taken their lives.

The medium also advised villagers to hang a red shirt outside their homes to ward off the evil spirit. He warned that families with only one son, have a higher chance of a visit from the ghost.

Fearful villagers have followed the medium's advice. "I hung a red shirt because I am worried for my nephew's safety. I don't necessarily believe in the story but taking some precautions don't hurt," said a 61-year-old villager.

The daily also said the "widow ghost" rumour has spread to other districts in the Surin Province, such as Chom Phra and Tha Tum.

Another villager, 42, said, "Some of the men who died did not show any sign of sickness, they were perfectly fine. When I heard about the rumour, I respected people's beliefs and put a red shirt on my front door as well."
