HEONG PIAH (FRAGRANT BISCUIT)


When I was in Teluk Intan on Monday, I bought two packets of Heong Peah or Heong Peng in Cantonese.  When literally translated Heong Peng means ‘Fragrant Biscuits’.  Now this type of traditional Chinese biscuit is believed to have originated from this town.  These biscuits consist of layered pastry and sweet caramel fillings
