WIRE ARTIST: AH HONG

When I went to the Tua Pek Kong Temple this morning with Lai Yoong, we met a Wire Artist by the name of Ah Hong.  For your information, Wire art encompasses the sculpting and crafting of works of art using primarily wires. Ornaments like beads and bells can be added to the art work.
You can see Ah Hong doing the finishing touches for an Art Work which has been made into a keychain.
Initially, Lai Yoong and I were busy admiring the Art Work done by Ah Hong and it was only later that we realised that he was wheelchair bound.  He told us that about 11 years ago he met with an accident while practising for a Cycling Competition.  However, I found that despite his handicap, this young man had the grit to carry on living a useful life.  He is married and is an active sportsman.  He participated in the Asian Paralympics recently.  If I am not mistaken, he said he represented Malaysia for squash in the games.  Now this is an exemplary young man for all of us.
