ROJAK BUAH

This is the Rojak Buah (Fruit and vegetables in peanut sauce) that Kama and I had for our evening snack at a river side stall in Kampung Sitiawan.  The Rojak Buah is a popular Malaysian fruit salad often sold from stalls at the roadside or at the night markets. Rojak buah is eaten with a sauce made of fermented shrimp paste and cili padi (bird’s eye chillies).  The Rojak Buah can be tossed up a combination of fruits such as green mango, papaya, guava, pineapple and cucumber. Sesame seeds and a generous amount of toasted peanuts are added to it.
