I did not visit the T'ung Wah Tong Temple (picture) until last Thursday as I thought that we were not supposed to go to a temple for at least 49 days. Well, it appears that I was mistaken. It seems that we are advised not to go to any temple to pray during the first seven days of mourning only. One exception is the Kew Ong Yah (Nine Emperor Gods) Temple. One must not go inside the temple to pray for 2 years but may observe the diet.
