Keng Chai Fun or Economy noodles as the name implies are cheap. You can have a choice of fried beehoon, mee, kuey teow or low shee fun. Back in the good ole' days, a packet of the noodles (about one rice bowl full) costs about 30 sen. The price for one packet today would be around RM1.20 to RM1.50. Though not much ingredients are used to fry the noodles, they are very tasty. The economy noodles taste even better if they are wrapped in newspaper lined with banana leaf.
