HERBAL PLANT USED FOR GETTING RID OF NEGATIVE INFLUENCES

The name of the plant above is Mart Choe in Cantonese.  Whenever one accidentally has an encounter with ghosts or evil beings and falls sick, then the elders would advise getting the matt choe to add to the floral bath.  Bathing with the flowers and Matt Choe would help get rid of negative Chi and also the residue when one has a brush with spiritual beings.
Anyone has any idea what Mart Choe is called in English?
