SEEKING DIVINE BLESSINGS FOR A CHILD

Before Hong Kong superstar, Andy Lau's marriage was made known to the public, there were rumours and speculations that he and his then-girlfriend, Carol, were already the parents of a child or two.  Well, well, it seems that all those rumours came to nought as the couple really do not have any children yet.
Another celebrity couple who are trying for a child is Tony Leung and Carina Lau.  The two who have been married for three years have yet been successful.
One thing the two Hong Kong couples have in common is that they are all very religious and seeking the blessings of the Divine Beings for a child.

Forty-nine-year-old Andy Lau and his 45-year-old wife Carol Zhu were spotted heading to a Chinese temple on July 9 in Hong Kong.

It was speculated that the couple was at the temple to pray for a child. The couple has been married for 3 years.

Half of the temple was shut during Andy and Carol's visit to offer them privacy, while Andy's driver was seen on the lookout for any suspicious cars.

Carol reportedly greeted the monks upon entering the prayer hall, and the couple then followed two monks up to the second floor's praying room. Andy was then seen putting his hands together and said some prayers before giving his full attention to the monk.

Half an hour later, Andy and Carol joined the monks for dinner and were seen again on the first floor of the prayer hall after 10pm. Carol was seen talking to a monk, seemingly interested in buying some amulets and to make some donations.

Carol is believed to know one of the monks of the temple in Malaysia. Deeply religious, Carol would constantly frequent the temple for charity work and would insist on going vegetarian every first and fifteenth day of each Chinese calendar month.

Ever since he wrapped up his concert tour in May, Andy has been accompanying his wife in Hong Kong. The couple would either stay at home or visit temples to pray.As the couple's current visit was shrouded with secrecy, it was speculated that they may be praying for a child.

TONY LEUNG AND CARINA PRAY FOR A CHILD IN INDIA

Hong Kong actors Tony Leung and Carina Lau have been married to each other for three years but thecouple has yet to have a child.

Recently, the Hong Kong media reported that Tony and Carina, in the hope of conceiving a baby,had left for New Delhi – a place where the couple had their honeymoon in 2008 — after Tony celebrated his 49th birthday on Jun 27.

Three years ago at their honeymoon, the pair had visited His Holiness the Gyalwa Karmapa for the first time to receive blessings as a married couple.

It was believed that Tony and Carina revisited His Holiness this time to seek his blessings for a successful pregnancy.

“Previous rumours, which said Carina was going to conceive via artificial insemination in the US, were untrue. Carina is a religious person. She believes that her pregnancy should come naturally. This is why she didn’t want her child to be scientifically conceived. Hence, she wants Tony to go on holidays with her, so that she is more relaxed. She said it’s easier to become pregnant [that way],” an insider said.

The couple kept a low profile on their latest trip. It was revealed only after a netizen from Guangzhou spotted the couple having breakfast with Carina’s best friend Faye Wong and posted the photos on her microblog.
