A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH

The Chinese characters above read, "Yee ngar wan ngar" in Cantonese.  It actually  literally means "tooth for a tooth" or "you take my tooth, I take yours".
So why am I blogging about this Chinese proverb?  It is because a number of my friends are growing worried for me. They are afraid that something bad might happen to me because I came forward to voice my discontent about the corroded faucet to the press.
Today, one of my friends thought that the problem I had with my car this morning was because of sabotage.   My friends' fears were further fuelled by the fact that one of the officers from the Water Commission gave me a call this afternoon and said that he would be sending people from the Water Works Department to come check my pipes plus they would be meeting with the Housing Developer. Another friend of mine reminded me to make another police report and get the help of the police to look after my safety.  They fear that  people with money and power will get away with all sorts of crimes as they can bribe their way in life.  My friends fear that I might be maimed, killed, paralysed or beaten up because of what I did.  They also said that they might not be able to seek justice for me as they fear that their lives might be in jeopardy if they do so.
So what should I do? Though I don't think that such a thing will happen to me, I can't really be sure about people's hearts.
So if something bad were to happen to me and nobody could help bring to book the people responsible, then it would mean that those who commit crimes would escape scot free.  Wah!  Then I would have been sacrificed for nothing.  Not fair, isn't it?
So what am I going to do about it?  Believe me, I will not sit still and let things be just like that.  Actually, when my sifu drew up the paper charm for me to ward off burglars, he had also included in it spells to ward off any danger and harm that others might inflict on me.  He told me that as long as I am in the path of the right, then no matter what justice will prevail.
Many years ago, one of my sifus taught me a ritual to put a curse  and a spell on those who have done harm to me. She taught it to me so that I could protect myself. At that time, I never would have thought that I might need to use it but then strange is the way of the world.
One important criteria for the spell to work is that I must be on the right side of the law and also be the one who is the victim. Another criteria is that I must not be the one who does something bad to people first but the spell would act as a retaliation for an injustice done to me. I cannot divulge how it is done but  it is just that after I have caste the spell and if I am hurt in anyway, then those who are responsible will suffer fates far worse than death for whatever they have done to me within 49 days. Even those who are hired to harm me would regret touching a hair on my body as they would be cursed for the rest of their lives, living neither as he nor she.  And the beauty of this is that whoever casts the spell is the only person who can undo it. Now that my readers is "An eye for an eye, a tooth for a tooth".
Do you think what I have written above is fact or fiction?  Well!  Well!  It is only I who  knows.  Hu! Hu! Hu!
