WOW! SUCH A LOT OF TOYS

At the Toy Museum in Penang there are about 120,000 pieces of toys. Now that is the largest collection of toys in the world. Unfortunately, the space at the museum is too limited to fully display all the toys and therefore many of the smaller pieces appear to be just cramped together in the display cabinets. Imagine if the toys were housed in a bigger building and the displays were better organised, then it would be great. If possible, volunteers could help with providing a write-up for the toys. This would be useful and informative for the visitors. No doubt, the person who started the museum has to be lauded for his effect but I feel that there could be lots more room for improvement. Perhaps, they could think along the lines of Madame Tussauds when displaying all the wonderful pieces of toys. My favourites must be the ones of Jack Sparrow, Batman and Lara Croft. Anyway, I think that the owner is also aware of the limitations and hopefully the government can step in to assist him.

This is what I have to say after visiting the Toys Museum which is located at the front of the Copthorne Orchid Hotel in Tanjung Bungah where I am attending a three-day meeting. CHECK OUT THE SLIDE SHOW BELOW FOR MORE PICTURES OF THE TOYS IN THE MUSEUM
