I was indeed fortunate to be taken on a visit to the Burmese Buddhist Temple in Penang by Annie when I met her on Tuesday evening. The place was a hive of activity as preparations were being made for the Annual Water Festival which falls on the 13th of April.
The temple is one of fifteen historical sites launched during Visit Penang Year in 1988. I was told that this place is a popular tourist attraction with lots of Buddha statues and other types of statues like a dragon, unicorns and deer.
