In Malaysia, if you mention the name Saloma, people would instantly associate with a very famous songstress who was popular in the sixties and seventies. The late Saloma had a melodious voice and she was also famed for her hourglass figure.

However, the Saloma I am pictured with above is not a singer. Instead she owns a vineyard in Lekir, Manjung. I met her at her booth during the Manjung District Farmer's Day celebration yesterday. She was selling the different types of grapes grown at the vineyard and also fertilisers. Kamariah and I are thinking of visiting her vineyard next week but we will contact her first before we go. That way we get a guided tour of the place.
