Let me share with you an interesting observation of mine during my many visits to the Farmer's Market in Kampung Simee, Ipoh. This has to do with the Donation Boxes for Orphanages. I noticed that the boxes are just left unattended in the middle of the path and then the charitable ones would be putting in their donations when they walk past. Such is the faith of the people who place these donation boxes there. The marvellous thing is that I have never heard of people stealing these boxes or the money inside them. This could possibly be because of the belief that those who use the money meant for the orphans or the needy would be cursed.
