VISITING TEMPLES DURING CHINESE NEW YEAR

On the first day of the Chinese New Year, the Chinese of Buddhist and Taoist faiths would visit the temples to pray for good luck and prosperity for the coming year.

Every year, my mum and I would try to visit at least two temples on the first day of the new year.  Our favourite is the Kuan Yin Cave Temple as the adminstration of the place always prepares lots of interesting activities for visitors.  Each year they make a great effort to give a festive air to the place.  This year they added a lot of new statues to the place as well.  I will be sharing more pictures of my visit to the Kuan Yin Cave which is located along the trunk road from Ipoh to Kuala Lumpur.  It is situated near Hill City Hotel.
