PERAK LOST LIVING HERITAGE EXHIBITION

Last Sunday, I went with my mum and aunt to visit the Perak Lost Living Heritage Exhibition which was held at Da Villa in Gopeng Road.  Actually, we had tried looking for the place on Saturday which was the official opening for the exhibition but was unsuccessful.  We also had to give up as it rained heavily later in the day.  However, we managed to find the place on Sunday.
This exhibition would run from 25 November to 5th December, 2010.  It showcases the rich and colourful cultures of the various Malaysian races which are in jeaopardy of becoming extinct because of modernisation.
In the above picture, my mum and aunt posed for a picture with the pretty Indian girls who were going to perform a classical Indian dance later on.
One of the participants from the Persatuan Pemulihan Orang Cacat Perak weaving strands of rattan into a basket at the exhibition.
The task of weaving the rattan is time consuming as demosntrated by one of the members of the Perak Rehabilitation Society for the Handicap.
