SAD DOG STORIES

I bought the toy dog as a gift for my mummy. It is soooo cute, right? Actually, I have been rather upset lately after reading two very sad stories about dogs.
The first is about the shooting of a dog named Spunk belonging to a senior citizen in Ipoh. It seemed that the dog had a licence and was left outside the house for a while by its owner who had gone into the house to get something. The people from the Ipoh City Hall decided to shoot the poor creature and because of their heartless act, an old lady is depressed and many animal lovers in Ipoh are up in arms against the cruel act shown by those concerned. Nevertheless, Spunk did not die in vain as City Hall will not be shooting dogs anymore. But it is still terribly upsetting for me and many dog lovers.
The second story is about a dog who was wrongly euthanised by one of the workers at a dog pound in America. It seems that this dog had served the country well during the war and had mistakenly been sent to a dog pound. When the owner managed to trace the dog pound, he found that the dog had wrongly been put to sleep. Aiyoh! Why do they put a healthy dog to sleep for no reason.
I have been really distressed after reading the two stories and hope that people should be more careful and thoughtful in future.
