The lady in the above pictures is the wife of the lab assistant. She has set up a stall selling food for the three-day Fiesta Co-curriculum. Some of the food on the menu are fried rice, fried noodles and burgers.
She obliged when I requested for vegetarian fried rice. I told her that I just wanted rice fried with vegetable oil, a bit of salt, soy sauce and vegetables. No garlic, shallots or onions must be added as these ingredients are not allowed in vegetarian food for the 9 Emperor Gods Festival. She charged me RM1.50 for the fried rice. Know what? It tasted good.
