KETUPAT FROM DAUN PALAS

When I went to the Bazaar Ramadhan in Sitiawan yesterday evening, I noticed that the daun palas or palm frond leaves were being sold by a few traders.  For a bunch of 10 leaves, the asking price is RM2.40.  Buy two bunches and you pay only RM4.00.
For those who do not know how to weave the casing from the daun palas, the already woven casings are also sold.  Now this my friends is the original ketupat casing instead of the ones which are fashioned from ribbons for decorations.
