The above photographs shows the hawker frying the Char Koey Teow (stir-fried rice cake strips) that I had ordered. I like mine with shrimps, eggs, bean sprouts and kucai. I prefer to eat the Char Koey Teow when it is freshly cooked as it tastes better. The once that have been cooked and then left for a while do not taste so good.
Nowadays I am very careful in choosing what I buy at the Ramadhan Bazaar as some of the food sold were prepared early in the morning and after eating them I became nauseous. Furthermore, quite a lot of the food sold are cooked for mass consumption and do not taste as delicious as the ones where the hawker fries for one portion.
