CARPET OF YELLOW

The pictures above were taken near the Herb Garden of my school.  The flower that had fallen from the tree had created a yellow carpet. Actually, the day the pictures were taken the flowers had already fallen for a few days already and so had started to turn brown. Believe me, the place looked spectacular when the flowers had just fallen.  The name of the tree is Yellow Flame Tree.

Here is more information about the tree:

Peltophorum pterocarpum (Copperpod, Golden Flamboyant, Yellow Flamboyant, Yellow Flame Tree, Yellow Poinciana, Radhachura in Bangla) is a species of Peltophorum, native to tropical southeastern Asia.
