Kim Hyun Joong from South Korea and Shun Oguri from Japan have one thing in common. Both actors have taken on the role of Hanazawa Rui from the famous Japanese Manga, Hana Yori Dango or Boys Over Flowers. So far there have been four versions of this popular manga, "Meteor Garden", "Hana Yori Dango", "Boys over Flowers", and "Meteor shower ". Regardless of which version, the actor who played the character of Rui have become the idols of girls the world over. Besides, Kim Hyun Joong and Shun Oguri, the role had also been played by Yu Hao Ming of Mainland China and Vic Chou of Taiwan who was the first to take on the role which catapulted him to fame.
Recently, Oguri Shun was in Korea for a TV talk show and the other guest artiste was Kim Hyun Joong. This was the first time for both the Ruis to meet each other in person. Wouldn't it be great if all the four actors from China, Japan, Taiwan and Korea were to appear together? It would be a coup for any broadcasting station or event promoter. I am hoping that such a day would come.
By the way, I have only watched the South Korean and Taiwanese version. So I cannot really say which Hanazawa Rui I like the best. As for Zai Zai's Hua Ze Lei and Kim Hyun Joong's Yoon Ji Hoo, I like them both and cannot decide who I like better. It's a draw.
